MONOZID was formed in Leipzig in 2003. Their music is a mix of postpunk and 80s new wave with influences from post- and noise-rock. After 2 self-released EPs the debut album  say hello to artificial grey  was released in june 2009 via majorlabel (GUTS PIE EARSHOT, FLIEHENDE STUERME) and sm-musik (DON VITO) and distributed via brokensilence distribution (for italy: www.mannequinmailorder.com). In the last 5 years the band played 4 tours through Europe organized in a d.i.y.-style with about 100 concerts and played with bands such as: FOR AGAINST, CUT CITY, EF, SWANN DANGER, DON VITO, MT. SIMS, THE HOLY KISS, CHARLES DE GOAL, EVA O. and many others.
